Cherrywood Challenge from the Beginning
Cherrywood Challenge from the Beginning
Sunday, September 8, 2024
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Class Fee: $35 non-member / $30 member
Class Description: For the past decade, Cherrywood Fabrics has provided a platform for quilters to express their originality and skills in the form of a challenge. A few simple guidelines and a select number of colors are paired with a popular theme to stimulate creativity. Because the participants must use only hand-dyed fabric from Cherrywood, the end result is cohesive and impactful. Owner, Karla Overland, will bring you along on the journey from a simple idea to the current day Cherrywood Challenge that attracts quilters from all over the globe. As a special treat, local artisans will be on hand to talk about their own works that resulted from the challenge. Enjoy a dessert table and the Monarch Chrysalis exhibit hanging at WMQFA.
