Cancellation Policy and Refunds

WMQFA reserves the right to cancel any program up to 10 days prior to the event. When WMQFA cancels the workshop, lecture or event, students will receive a full refund. When WMQFA cancels a program due to extreme weather, every student will be notified, and if the program cannot be rescheduled, refunded.

In the event that you are unable to attend a program that you registered for, please request a refund 30 days prior to the program. For refund requests made 30 days prior to an event, a full refund less $25 will be provided, or you may apply your full costs towards another workshop or program. For classes over $250, a non-refundable fee of $100 will be assessed to any cancellations instead of the $25 fee. WMQFA is unable to offer refunds for programs with a $25 or less cost. While WMQFA is understanding, “no-shows” will not be refunded. No refunds will be given within 30 days. *Class deposits are non-refundable*

Class transfers may occur up to 30 days prior to the class provided it does not cause the class to drop below the minimum for operation. Individuals are also welcome to send a friend in their place at no additional cost instead of a cancellation or transfer, and this can be done at any time.

If you have any questions about the cancellation policy, please contact the Education Coordinator at education@wiquiltmuseum.com.

  • Is there a place to unload my car?

Yes. Participants may back up to the lower level garage door and unload their supplies. Move your car immediately to a parking space in the lot. It is wise to bring a tote or a transport cart if your supplies are heavy.

  • Is there a cart available for unloading my car?

Maybe. The museum may have a cart available for transport, but we cannot guarantee availability as it may be required for other museum use. Please email education@wiquiltmuseum.com if you have special needs or need to make any special arrangements.

  • I’m taking a multi-day class, may I leave my equipment/materials at the museum?

Yes, each participant will have their own work space for the class and can leave their machine and supplies overnight. The museum is not responsible for lost or stolen items. The museum is locked and alarmed overnight, and the workshop space is separate from the general public areas.

  • Are lunches included in the class price?

No. Lunch is not included in the class price. Participants may bring their own lunch, place a lunch order on the day of class or leave the museum for a lunch in the area. The lunch break is generally 30 minutes. Individuals may also run out and purchase lunches from nearby establishments but often the lunch period is only 30 minutes which can be tight for lunch runs. We suggest either ordering a lunch or bringing a lunch.

  • Do you have a refrigerator or microwave for lunches?

Yes, we have a refrigerator, freezer, and a microwave available for use. Please clearly mark your lunch with your name if placing it in the refrigerator.

  • What do the ordered lunches consist of/How do I order lunch?

$15 in cash is required to place a lunch order on the day of class. We will have order sheets and take care of placing and getting the food. You will have a choice of a salad, wrap or sandwich plus chips, cookie and beverage for lunch. Our lunch provider does offer some food restriction accommodations (gluten free wraps), but it may be best to bring your own lunch if you have food sensitivities.

  • What is the wait list?

WMQFA maintains a waitlist for sold out classes. If an opening occurs, the individuals on the waitlist will be contacted first.

  • What should I do if I need to cancel my class?

Email education@wiquiltmuseum.com at least 30 days prior to the class date or call WMQFA (262-546-0300) and ask to speak with the Education Manager. You may switch to a different class offered on our current calendar or find a substitute to take your place. No refunds will be given within 30 days of the class. Full refunds may not be available for all classes. See our Cancellation Policy (above) for specific information.

  • Where are the workshops held?

Classes and workshops are held in the large classroom in the lower level of the museum. It can accommodate up to 20 students with adequate individual workspace.

  • Is the museum fully accessible for my walker/wheelchair etc?

Yes. The museum strives to be as accessible as possible. There is an exterior ramp to enter the museum and an elevator to access the lower level. Restrooms on both levels are fully accessible. If you require additional workspace or accommodations, please contact education@wiquiltmuseum.com.

  • What is the temperature like in the workshop space?

The temperature is set at 68 degrees in the lower level and depending on the exterior temperature it can be chilly/warm in the basement. We suggest that you dress in layers for maximum comfort. (And we encourage the wearing of a fiber object you have made or adore!)

Please send all special requests for accommodations to education@wiquiltmuseum.com.
