In this class, students will learn how to hook on an 10" x 11" mat with a William Morris design. William Morris was a weaver, illuminator, typographer, and designer of stained glass, tiles, furniture, tapestries and carpets. The fiber world knows Morris as a designer of fabrics and has adapted his designs in quilts, embroideries, appliques, and rug hooking. From lush botanical designs to Alhambra arabesques, each rug conveys an ageless beauty. We will be doing one of Morris’s lush floral designs. The kit will include the pattern, a hook and all the wool needed to complete the mat.
