Back by popular demand, Heidi Parkes is offering her mending class as part of the Cedarburg Spur Fiber Arts Trail Weekend! In this class, you can learn improve your ‘cost-per-wear,’ help the environment, save your beloved garments, and add personal touches too! #VisibleMending will allow you to proudly show your skills, and invisible techniques will gently heal garments back into usefulness. Bring an article to mend, or practice on a scrap of cloth. Don’t miss out on this exciting new trend! Beginners are welcome. Advanced sewists may have much to learn as well.
Bring an item that needs to be mended. Optional additional materials include: Embroidery hoops (4 and 6”), milliners needles, crochet thread #10 or pearl cotton #8 or #12, regular sewing thread, a scrap of jersey or an old t-shirt, scraps of pretty fabrics, and scissors.
