11 – We Are Ready to Move In!

As of last Friday, we are officially tenants of our new museum home! Thanks to the hard work of many, our dream has come true.

This week, we have hosted the first events in our new space (Karel Hendee classes and music event tonight at 7). Even as workmen scurry to finish up details and attach the last of the barn siding, we are planning for the move into our new space. Board members are measuring spaces and configuring floor plans, eager to get moved in. Hanging systems for quilt displays throughout the building have been ordered. Fixtures and furnishings are being ordered or prepared. Our new roadside signage is in the works. Even our coffee machines are up and working.

Much work remains before our Grand Opening events August 11-12. But our enthusiasm and energy remain high. Can’t wait to see you in three weeks!
